Anchor

We’re back at the Portimao/Ferriguda anchorage, with water and fuel tank full, food bought and made (including breakfast burritos in honor of Kira), weather checked and checked and checked, routes made and set up in chartplotter, and downloaded and set up on phone and iPad (in case chart plotter stops working), sat phone paired (after lots of head ache) with new phone, lee cloth set up on swing berth (first 30 hours will be very rolly), systems checked, berth booked on Lanzarote (you need a permit to anchor and those can only be had by applying in person 10 days in advance!), and we have defensive plans for orca attacks. I think we are as ready as we can be. Should be leaving tomorrow morning! Btw love this anchor as we have the whole Atlantic right in front of our bow: holds in heavy winds and waves. Not like the one we had on my dad’s boat that dragged in the littlest bit of wind (eller hur, Pappa?):
