Customization phase!

I have been reading and researching what boat I need for my adventures for years. My notes turned into post it piles turned into spreadsheets and lists and reminders. Last fall, as you know, I spent months trying to include as much as I could think of into the contract for my boat. Now it’s time to revisit those decisions, ideally taking out some things to get the price down. So far I’m adding more than I’m detracting… It’s hard to choose to not get things that would make the boat safer…. Anyway, Claude and I have been wrestling with my spread sheets to get on top of things and be ready for my first (and hopefully only) in-person customization meeting in France (right after a new owners seminar) in a couple of weeks. Stay tuned!

In addition I’m still working, focusing on building out a women sailing program at Spinnaker. And I look guiltily at my celestial navigation books I still need to get through to take that test…. And then I have these books to read…. 21 months until I get my boat suddenly feels very short!!
