Day 4

Lots of talk about bathroom visits with 75% of crew with tummy bug. Telemedicine support from John is really great. Learned that there is a big lawsuit from people catching e.coli at cape verde…! We only have antibiotics for one person (lesson for me there), and some e.coli gets worse with antibiotics, so we’re trying to wait it out.  I’m the 25% but instead woke up with a very sore throat - something that went round the boat on leg one. Confined spaces…! Sailing wise we’re moving along. Finally have enough wind to sail Arkyla, but a bit depressing to be so far back in the race! We need winds over 20 so the others are forced to take down their parasailor and spinnakers..! But right now the only thing on the forecast is big (3m) swells coming in from northwest tomorrow. So trying to enjoy the easy conditions today!
